University Health Services

 

University Health Services (UHS) is UW-Madison’s student health center. We are a national leader in college health with more than 100,000 student visits each year.

Our mission is to enhance student success by promoting, protecting, and restoring health and well-being drives our services to be culturally respectful, fiscally responsible, and developmentally appropriate to student needs.

UHS is primarily funded by the Student Health Fee and there is no charge for most UHS services.

• Mental Health

  Our mental health providers understand the complexities of student life can interfere with academic productivity, well-being, and happiness. Mental Health Services offers an open, safe, and confidential environment for our diverse student body to access care in clinical settings and locations around campus where students learn, work, and live.

• Sexual Assault

  This fund supports our Violence Prevention & Survivor Services unit which is dedicated to preventing gender-based violence on campus before it happens and addressing the needs of victims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking after it happens.

• Recovery

  We emphasize academic excellence alongside a healthy recovery plan to ensure that students do not have to sacrifice one for the other. Students who return to UW-Madison after treatment graduate at higher rates with higher GPAs when given the support that they need compared to the average college student.
