The University of Wisconsin’s Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has enjoyed an unprecedented run of academic and athletic success and now ranks among the finest athletic programs in the country.

UW Badgers

The Badgers are a regular contender for Big Ten and national titles with recent NCAA team championships in men’s and women’s hockey, men’s cross country, men’s track and men’s crew and individual champions in men’s and women’s swimming and wrestling. In addition to these sports, the football, men’s basketball, softball and women’s crew teams have all won Big Ten titles recently. Wisconsin consistently ranks among the NCAA’s top all-sports programs in every year of the Director’s Cup rankings and the Big Ten Conference’s annual all-sports ranking.

In addition to athletic success, Wisconsin ranks among the league leaders in the number of academic all-Americans and Badger student-athletes volunteer with more than 4,000 hours in the community each year. This is consistent with the commitment to academic excellence and service that extends to all areas of campus.

Donate to Intercollegiate Athletics

Your support will help continue the tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and public service.

Make a Gift

Because the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics is self-sustaining, it relies on the generous support of donors. We are committed to supporting each of our 800+ student-athletes and providing them with the resources necessary to succeed. Gifts to Wisconsin Athletics are used in part to fund the student-athlete experience, which includes scholarships, travel, and equipment costs, which average more than $44,000 per student-athlete each year.

Badger student-athletes would not be able to accomplish this academic and athletic success without private support. By impacting the lives of those who proudly wear the Badger uniform, you can take pride in knowing your investment will guarantee the future success and traditions of the University of Wisconsin.

The Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has identified two priority areas as key to its continued excellence: support for facilities and support for student-athlete scholarships.
