The University of Wisconsin’s Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has been a leader in college sports since 1891. As a founding member of the Big Ten Conference, Wisconsin has helped to shape the history and competition that defines collegiate athletics.
The Badgers are a regular contender for conference and national titles having accumulated over 235 conference crowns and 50 national championships! Wisconsin consistently ranks among the NCAA’s top all-sports programs in every year of the Director’s Cup rankings and the Big Ten Conference’s annual all-sports ranking.
In addition to athletic success, Wisconsin ranks among the league leaders in the number of academic all-Americans and has posted an all-time high Graduation Success Rate of 94% in back-to-back years (2024, 2025). Badger student-athletes and staff positively impact over 107,000 members of our community through volunteerism. This is consistent with Wisconsin Athletics’ mission to elevate the lives of our student-athletes, each other, and the people in our community.
