How charitable gifts help

American Family Children’s Hospital is a non-profit healthcare provider that is part of University of Wisconsin’s Hospital and Clinics (UWHC), a 501(c)(3) organization. Opened in 2007, the American Family Children’s Hospital was constructed without any state taxpayer dollars, and, like UWHC, operates without any state subsidy.

Charitable gifts are always needed to support these goals:

  • Supporting patients and families
  • Completing the Children’s Hospital facility
  • Letting kids be kids while in the hospital
  • Developing innovative programs to help patients
  • Improving the health of our community
  • Meeting new and emergent needs
