SUPPORT PHARMACY FORWARD

Your gift to the Pharmacy Forward fund will help build a strong foundation of scholarship support for students in perpetuity.

Currently, over 91% of declined admissions offers to the School of Pharmacy’s PharmD program are due to financial concerns. With your support of Pharmacy Forward, the School of Pharmacy will ensure that applicants who prefer UW–Madison over other schools can afford their top choice rather than selecting a peer institution that offers more generous scholarship support.

The Pharmacy Forward initiative, thanks to the generosity of donors, will build a strong foundation of admission scholarships that will dramatically increase the amount of financial support for students from endowed funds.

The School of Pharmacy’s future will be influenced by the ability to attract and support bright and motivated students regardless of their level of financial need, and Pharmacy Forward will help secure a robust pipeline of talented degree candidates who are not deterred from their dreams by a lack of scholarships. This initiative will help the School of Pharmacy remain one of the most competitive schools in the nation, producing graduates who will be leaders and innovators in their fields throughout their careers.

Donors to the Pharmacy Forward campaign can support students in the following ways:

  • Create your own endowed scholarship fund, ex. The Anna L. Smith Scholarship, with a gift commitment initiated through the School of Pharmacy’s Director of Development, Julie Jensen. An endowed scholarship fund may honor or memorialize a family member, recognize students with a particular pharmacy passion, and provide renewable support for a student throughout their time in the program to increase predictability in scholarship support.
  • Make a contribution annually to the Pharmacy Forward Fund, the Pharmacy Alumni Association Scholarship Fund or your class scholarship, to grow the size of these annual scholarships and provide significant support to students by pooling the gifts of many donors.
  • Consider a planned gift to recognize your legacy in pharmacy – gifts may have tax benefits and allow assets from an estate to make a long-term impact on others.
