Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education

Founded in 2001, the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) is housed in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in the School of Education. Through its outreach and public programs, as well as its support of research, WISCAPE promotes the pursuit, sharing, and implementation of promising ideas for addressing fundamental challenges in postsecondary education in Wisconsin, the United States, and internationally.

The center represents UW-Madison’s commitment to understand and advance its own industry. Funding for WISCAPE comes from several sources, including a base budget from UW-Madison and grants from foundations.

Private support will make it possible for university researchers and staff to join with Regents, legislators, and key private- and public-sector leaders to identity and advance promising programs, practices, and policies to improve postsecondary education in Wisconsin and beyond.
