Raimey-Noland Impact: STEM Scholars Program Helps Underrepresented Students Succeed

Designed to offer first- and second-year Badgers career-based opportunities, the new STEM Scholars program within the UW College of Letters & Science is giving students from underrepresented groups a leg up in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through this important development, the college is focused on inspiring more interest in STEM majors and ensuring that current and future students have the support they deserve in order to succeed.

“Sparking the interest of these talented students at the earliest possible moment is one of the best ways we can address diversity in STEM fields,” says Dean Eric Wilcots. “And that’s one of our top priorities.”
