Maintaining Quality During COVID

When the COVID-19 crisis hit, faculty and staff quickly transitioned our 400 classes to virtual modes of delivery. These efforts laid the groundwork for the fall 2020 semester, which included a hybrid of in-person and online classes.

School of Education faculty and staff wanted to be able to create the very best courses possible. To facilitate this, we set up a teaching innovation grant program, supported in part by the School of Education Annual Fund. Eighty-eight faculty and staff members, representing every department in the School of Education, received funding and professional support to revamp their courses. We tapped into experts to support our faculty and staff as they honed their skills and provided high-quality experiences for our students.

Our faculty and staff continue to improve the quality of virtual learning to support the implementation of hybrid classes. Their dedication is unwavering and our students will continue to receive the outstanding education they have planned for and deserve.
