Sharon Cole was one of the captains for the first national championship women’s hockey team in 2006 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Now, on the verge of earning her doctorate from the School of Pharmacy and facing a good deal of student-loan debt, the Wisconsin State Journal reports that she is among the donors who are making the LaBahn Arena possible.
Ground was broken Wednesday, May 11, on the new hockey and swimming complex, named for lead donors Chuck and Mary Ann LaBahn, which will be adjacent to the Kohl Center. Read the State Journal’s May 12 story about Sharon and the groundbreaking.
