The Parent Philanthropy Circle (PPC) is a community of Badger families who go above and beyond to make a difference in the University of Wisconsin–Madison student experience. Through their generous gifts, advocacy, and advice, PPC members help guide the future of UW–Madison as a dynamic hub of learning and discovery, not only for the benefit of their own students but for all Badgers — and all the lives they touch.
As a member of this special community, you’ll enjoy opportunities to forge personal connections with university leaders and fellow parents. Whether you’re attending an intimate gathering in your home region, a behind-the-scenes tour of a new campus facility, or an exclusive reception with UW leaders in Madison, you’ll discover a wealth of rewarding experiences that will enhance your connection to our university for a lifetime.
How to Join the Parent Philanthropy Circle
Families can join the Parent Philanthropy Circle through cumulative gifts or a new commitment of $50,000 or more. Our priority is the Parents Fund; however, we encourage families to direct their giving to the area of campus where they are most passionate.
Want some help with the details? Our parent giving team is available to advise you on giving options and help you craft a no-obligation plan based on your interests.
Why Members Get Involved

“Everything we are, we owe to the University of Wisconsin. However, it wasn’t until we brought our son to SOAR 30 years after our graduation that we heard about the Wisconsin Student Experience, which captured in words all the things the UW had provided us — empathy and humility, relentless curiosity, intellectual confidence, and purposeful action. We realized then how important it was to give back to the place that gave us so much. The UW is now providing our son and his fellow students with a world-class education and student experience. And, while it’s challenging to pay for college these days, we know that any additional financial gift we can make helps the university’s continued excellence and prepares a new generation of Badgers who can change the world.”
