Target Hits the Mark with Grants to Campus

TargetTarget Corporation has a long history of generously supporting the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For nearly a decade, Target has enhanced and enabled student participation in numerous community service and educational events. Most recently, UW-Madison received nine Target campus grants totaling more than $40,000.

Target has directed its 2011-2012 grants to the Wisconsin School of Business, School of Pharmacy, Center for Retailing Excellence, Accenture Leadership Center, and a number of student-run organizations and multicultural groups such as the Multicultural Student Center and PEOPLE Program.

Support from Target has provided vital scholarships for UW-Madison students, funded guest speaker series on campus and allowed a number of student organizations such as Mu Kappa Tau to provide meaningful community services. A recent example of the impact of the Target grants from the 2010-11 academic year was a book drive for the Madison Public Libraries System as part of Mu Kappa Tau’s Toys for Tots campaign; Target’s financial support provided matching books for donation.
