“I Gave” Student Campaign
Student giving has been an important part of UW history since the building of Memorial Union in 1928. That tradition is carried on with the I Gave campaign, a campaign designed to provide seniors with the opportunity to make a gift to the UW unit they care most about as they graduate from the university.
The Class of 2013 has already surpassed alumni giving participation with a 13 percent participation rate. These young alumni have shown that they value their alma mater and understand the importance of giving.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s most generous annual fund donors are recognized by the 1848 Society. Gifts to the UW’s Annual Funds help preserve the margin of academic excellence that the UW is known for.
Annual Funds support faculty retention and recruitment, student financial assistance, the development of innovative programs, and life-changing research.
A gift of $84 per month to one of the UW Annual Funds qualifies a donor to be in the 1848 Society. Membership in the 1848 Society includes an annual Wisconsin Alumni Association membership.
