During this discussion on the “politics of resentment,” Cramer will share what she learned while interviewing thousands of everyday citizens throughout Wisconsin. She will also show how place-based identities profoundly influence how people understand politics. Wisconsin is on the extreme end of intense polarization that cuts along the lines of metropolitan liberals and nonmetropolitan conservatives, but these fault lines run deep across the nation. The Politics of Resentment is also the title of Cramer’s recently published book.
