Data science has transformed fields from biology to astronomy and social networks to politics influencing most aspects of modern life. Now, though, it’s time to transform data science. Although data of all kinds have accelerated the pace of scientific discovery and innovation, overwhelming amounts that need to be sifted can also slow that pace considerably. Join Professor Robert Nowak in exploring how meaningful outcomes can come through developing fundamental techniques for handling massive data sets in shorter times — and how this advance can ultimately improve our daily lives.
