Wisconsin has long been called a “swing state” in elections. Why do the political tides turn so quickly — and what can this tell us about the national political landscape? Professor Canon will recap the November state election results and provide insight into why Wisconsin voters cast their ballots the way they did. Based on these and other states’ midterm election results, Canon will discuss what this might mean for the 2020 presidential run.
