UW alumni chat with Dean Michael KnetterLike footprints in fresh snow on Bascom Hill, as an alumnus you have left your mark on this great University. You made several journeys around campus for classes, sang “Varsity” at commencement and you are a proud University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate – a Badger.

As Badgers, we look out for one another. Though you may not have been aware, during your time on campus, alumni, students and friends of the UW were looking out for you and supporting your UW experience by making gifts.

In fact, the UW Foundation distributed $251 million to UW-Madison in 2009. Today, of the total $2.28 billion UW budget, private support accounts for 19%, while tuition accounts for 15%.

The support and contributions you and other alumni have provided do not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. On Wisconsin!
