Women’s Philanthropy Council 25th Anniversary

Women's Philanthropy Council

25 Years of Alumnae Aid: Women’s Philanthropy Council celebrates its silver anniversary.

In 1988, UW grad Martha Taylor gave life to a vision: to create the first major gift program at a coed university that was focused on engaging women. The UW Foundation’s Women’s Philanthropy Council celebrated its 25th anniversary in September with a two-day conference on campus.

In addition to honoring Taylor’s legacy, the council heard from keynote speaker Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, as well philanthropy guru Claire Gaudiana and economics expert Valaida Fullwood.
