Benefits of Membership
In addition to association with others who share an affection for and commitment to the University of Wisconsin, membership in the Bascom Hill Society offers a variety of activities to inform donors and friends about the University and the increasingly important role of private support.
The major fall event is traditionally the weekend of the first home Big Ten football game. The weekend begins with a Friday night reception and dinner. Members have the opportunity to meet the chancellor and other University faculty and staff and to get an update on specific areas of interest and importance.
Saturday morning includes a tailgate with Bucky Badger and the Spirit Squad followed by the football game at Camp Randall Stadium.
Wisconsin Weekend College
UW-Madison’s Wisconsin Weekend College brings prominent faculty members to sites across the country for two weekends of educational programming. The event also provides an opportunity to socialize with other Bascom Hill Society members and alumni in a small group setting.
Showcase Series Luncheons
The Bascom Hill Society Showcase Series offers dining, conversation and stimulating presentations by UW-Madison faculty and staff. Held throughout the year at various campus locations, the series is designed to bring interesting, topical, entertaining and even controversial topics to the BHS members in an intimate and friendly setting.
