Renovations have begun, and in 2018 we plan to open the former CALS Dean’s Residence as a home to a rich array of student experiences—including clubs, career services and study abroad—that help make CALS CALS. Students are squeezed for space for enriching, pre- professional, beyond-classroom activities. Renovations to this historic home originally built for CALS Dean William Henry in 1986 will transform it to a modern student services center that will serve as the home for CALS signature undergraduate experiences.

The renovation will provide a home for:

  • CALS 40 student organizations which are extraordinarily important to students, allowing them to do the kind of hands-on work that synthesizes what they’ve learned in the classroom.
  • CALS career services activities, including interviews with corporate recruiters, internship and job postings, mock interviews and etiquette dinners
  • Our popular study abroad programs, offering students unparalleled opportunities to participate in learning, research and community service all around the world
  • Alumni wishing to interact with students to offer presentations, help with projects or simply get to know them better

This facility is an amazing gift to our current and future students, and one that will certainly help CALS grow the future.
